Systems & Complexity Coach, The Omidyar Group

As Systems & Complexity coach at The Omidyar Group, Rob supports teams as they engage with complex systems to make societal change. Alongside leading this community of practice, Rob enjoys exploring how to use systems and complexity thinking in progressively accessible and practical ways, for example by translating the Omidyar Group practice into an online course at +Acumen.

An agent of change for peace, Rob serves as an Emeritus Board Member on the Alliance for Peacebuilding, and has previously been consultant to a host of organisations around the world: U.S. Agency for International Development, the Department of Defense, and the Department of State; NGOs, foundations, leaders of armed groups, and political parties. Bringing this passion into academia, Rob served as an adjunct professor and co-director of the Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding program at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee (UWM), and as a non-resident fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

At the School of System Change, Rob facilitates sessions on how to discern what is complex and what is not, and how engaging with complex systems affects us as practitioners and as organisations working for systems change.

Rob regularly writes articles for the Kumu blog In too deep.

"The School of System Change is a great way for me to share my work with a wider network of people, and also to connect with other practitioners, explore our collective inquiry questions and continue to learn together"
