£75000 - £85000 per annum + benefits

We have a rare and exciting job opportunity. We are looking for an experienced leader to join us as Director of UK & Europe to lead our UK delivery team and build Forum's presence and impact in Europe.

About the role

In this newly created role, the Director of UK & Europe will be a key member of the senior management team taking full responsibility for delivering Forum for the Future's strategy in the UK and beyond into Europe. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will ensure the work is impactful, generates the income required to deliver change, while leading and developing a team of 17.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing the strategy for Forum's work in Europe, working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT)
  • Generating income within the region ensuring agreed impact and financial targets are met in conjunction with relevant SMT members
  • Nurturing, developing and onboarding partner, funder and other relationships in the region
  • Contributing to the development of Forum's international and overall strategy
  • Recruiting, directing and coaching the UK & Europe team of 17, with 4 direct reports
  • Representing Forum and its work at relevant national and international conferences, seminars and other events
  • Ensuring the region is financially, legally and operationally compliant in conjunction with the COO

About you

As a natural leader you will utilise your network of UK, European and international connections across large corporates, foundations, civil society and governments to drive systemic change that will help to address critical challenges.

To be successful in this role you'll need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in systems change for sustainability processes, ideally with experience of using futures tools and techniques for diagnosis, and the development and delivery of innovative programmes and strategies
  • A track record in creating robust, diversified income streams, with expertise in bid/proposal writing, negotiation and deal making
  • A track record of developing and implementing successful strategies at both macro and micro levels, delivering impact and project profitability
  • Excellent people management skills and experience in leading and empowering within a matrix structure
  • A deep understanding of sustainable development, with a track record of impact on key global challenges
  • Strong financial management of P&Ls as well as the ability to build and manage project budgets
