Partner since January 2019

Forum and Postcode Lottery have worked together since 2019 to create a future where people and planet can thrive. We do this by changing how we produce food and energy, and building the capacity of changemakers to transform the systems we rely on.
Through vital core funding, players of Postcode Lottery also help Forum strengthen its capacity to deliver our mission so that we can drive the greatest possible impact.

How support from players of Postcode Lottery helps drive impact

Flexible funding from the Postcode Lottery Green Trust gives Forum the confidence and stability to invest where support is needed most. Alongside helping us deliver our programmes and partnerships, it strengthens the organisational foundations that make our work possible.

This trust-based support enables us to respond to new opportunities and challenges, invest in our communications and organisational development, and continue building the capabilities, relationships and infrastructure needed to create long-term systems change.

Previous support from players of Postcode Lottery

Funding raised by players of Postcode Lottery has supported Forum as we try to innovative approaches to some of the biggest challenges facing people and planet.

This has included work to accelerate the transition to regenerative agriculture in the UK through Growing Our Future UK, which brought together farmers, businesses and retailers to test new ways of working. The programme explored how mainstream supply chains could support more diverse farming systems, developed new routes to market for regenerative products, and piloted approaches to help farmers adopt regenerative practices at scale.

Support from players of Postcode Lottery also helped build the capacity of changemakers through Protein Challenge Southeast Asia. By bringing together diverse stakeholders and applying a systems change approach, the programme supported new ways of thinking and collaborating around the future of protein in a region highly vulnerable to climate change.

Funding also supported PowerPaired, a world-first online pilot platform connecting community energy groups with organisations and individuals able to provide sites for renewable energy projects. Over 100 community energy groups registered with the platform. In addition, over 35 different asset owners listed more than 100 assets suitable for community energy projects including land, churches, offices, fire stations, and schools.

Forum works with organisations that are creating a just and regenerative future, both for themselves and by actively working with others to reshape the systems they reply upon. This enables businesses to both ensure their longer term value creation and address vulnerabilities in their current business model. Public and third sector organisations can sharpen their purpose and ensure they are maximising their positive impact across the systems they are working in.
