Forum for the Future: Trustee role

Dear Candidate

Thank you very much for your interest in this role.

Forum for the Future is a leading international sustainability non-profit. For over 20 years we’ve been working in partnership with business, governments and civil society to accelerate the shift toward a sustainable future.

Climate change, poverty, malnutrition, civic unrest: the world today is facing complex challenges because our fundamental systems are broken. We specialise in addressing critical global challenges by catalysing change in key systems, from food to apparel, energy to shipping.

We do this by convening transformational collaborations to drive change, by partnering with organisations to help them lead by example, and by building a global community of pioneers and change makers.

We are looking for three new trustees who believe, as we do, that we need to accelerate the shift to a sustainable future and who are keen to use their skills, experience and networks to help lead our organization.

We are keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about our mission and who can bring to the table their unique skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: strong connections in business and philanthropic organisations in the US, solid knowledge of one or more of our Asian markets, a systems change practitioner and experience of experiential learning. You may not be based in the UK but you will ideally already be travelling here regularly to attend meetings in person. You will also ensure that we have an adequate framework of safeguards and procedures in place to manage the risks we face as an organization and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are currently under-represented in the sustainability not-for-profit sector: young women, disabled people, black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates.

If you think you have what it takes to join our team of dedicated trustees we encourage you to find out more by getting in touch.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Keith Clarke

Chair
