Our work in Asia Pacific
Asia Pacific is the most rapidly developing region in the world, with two-thirds of the new global middle class anticipated to be living in the region by 2030.
With this growth comes both challenges and opportunities. On one hand, unsustainable growth can lead to poorly planned mega-cities, increased air pollution, the rapid depletion of regional water and land resources, and tip our global carbon emissions past critical thresholds. On the other hand, growth can bring prosperity, improved access to health care and education, and catalyse innovation in the new business models, products, and services that will decouple environmental impact from economic growth.
Forum for the Future believes businesses will play a key role in determining which trajectory the region takes. We are committed to working with pioneering organisations that want to identify collaborative opportunities to scale the solutions of the future, now. We hope you’ll join us!
Why work with us?
- Create future-fit strategies. We help leadership teams test future growth strategies against futures trends, to identify emerging risk and opportunities, and to map a route to a sustainable future.
- Embed change. We help organisations embed sustainability into everyday decision making and catalyse the internal culture shift that helps turn good intention into action
- Innovate to succeed. We can help organisations identify new products and services that will both provide business value and contribute to building a sustainable future
Our current partners in Asia Pacific include Cathay Pacific, China Navigation Company, Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Sime Darby and Swire Pacific Offshore, Air New Zealand and Eat Me Chutneys.
The Futures Centre
At Forum, we are aware that powerful ideas and innovations are emerging all the time that could help solve the social, economic and environmental challenges we face as a region, and a planet.
Singapore is the home of our Futures Centre, a new platform to encourage people to share signals of change and explore their implications, uncovering where there might be opportunities to act together.
One feature of the Futures Centre is the topic hubs that enable communities of influencers to delve more deeply into the changes facing a particular system or sector – such as The Future of Shipping, The Future of Protein and The Future of Wellbeing and Work.
We can work together to transform systems
