Maria Powazka Digital Manager Background My role focuses on strategically building brand reach and engagement across our global web and social media channels and using the power of digital (and data) to drive systems change. Before Forum, I worked at a brand purpose agency called Given, delivering a wide range of sustainability comms projects for clients such as Ikea, C40, John Lewis and Anglian Water. I have also previously worked at H&M’s Sustainability and Marketing departments in the UK/IE and Poland, focusing on driving their garment collecting and internal sustainability engagement strategies but also delivering experiential campaigns and overseeing media buying. Dream project A global (digital) behaviour change campaign related to sustainable lifestyles. What floats my boat outside work? Since moving to London in 2015, I took up reading as a form of meditation and finding my inner peace (in my pre-mom life, when I commuted daily to Oxford Circus, I consumed up to 70 books a year). I love the feeling of exploring new places, learning random words in new languages, doing yoga, taking photographs, drinking good coffee on a bright Saturday morning, eating popcorn, walking and talking, life-enhancing UX, wandering art galleries, browsing vintage design shops. And those rare moments when I do nothing at all.
