Development Manager

I am the Development Manager at Forum for the Future, working to establish and develop relationships with trusts, foundations and major donors in order to secure funding for our fascinating and innovative projects and to cover our core costs.

My journey to Forum was a long and winding one, after finishing a degree in European Studies and Italian I decided to venture further afield and up sticks to Shanghai and Cairo where I taught English and worked with Sudanese refugees. After a number of years exploring the world I returned to the UK and over the last 10 years I have worked in the NGO sector advocating for change through fundraising and communication projects across a wide range of areas including: human rights, international development, animal welfare, the environment and the arts. In between I have dabbled in the museum sector: co-curating an exhibition on the history of Richmond Theatre aptly named ‘Richmond through the stages’, running a pathology museum and  studying for an MA in social archaeology and anthropology.

Ideal Forum project:

Actioning ways to make London the greenest city in the world!

What floats my boat outside work?

I am an active political campaigner and Women’s Officer. I’m in the process of setting up a feminist walking tour, so I can bring to life the forgotten and untold stories of the women who  have  contributed to the historical and present day fabric of my local area. I love wild swimming, hiking and going to music festivals
