Overview

Generating equitable economic progress within planetary boundaries is one of the greatest global challenges we face. To achieve this goal in the face of climate change, loss of nature and growing inequality, there is a clear need to shift our economy, society and most businesses away from models that rely on infinite consumption of finite resources.

Business action is critical to tackle this challenge. There is a timely opportunity to shape an economy that delivers equitable access to essential goods and services within planetary boundaries by enabling new ways of doing business through business models that are resource efficient and deliver aspirational and equitable outcomes.

About the event

Building on initial grant-funded work, and three decades of business engagement, through convenings and programmes, BSR and Forum for the Future are looking to join forces, and collaborate with other key stakeholders in the sustainable business ecosystem, to shape a future-oriented economy, by accelerating implementation of new business models that generate value for all and ways of living that are resource efficient, aspirational and equitable. 

During a co-creation workshop, BSR and Forum for the Future will share a proposed solution and facilitate a conversation among participants around:
