Background

In 2016 #OneLess started a movement to reduce plastic water bottle use in London and tackle ocean plastic pollution at source. Since then we've been joined by major venues, big brands, universities, local government, retailers, popular public spaces and innovators who are all taking pioneering action to change the way we drink water. Together we have removed 5 million single-use plastic water bottles and 9 million single-use plastic items from London, and dispensed the equivalent of 829,000 water bottles from newly installed drinking fountains.

As we finalise our sixth year of the #OneLess experiment, we’d like to share our learnings and experience with changemakers around the world. We have developed the #OneLess practical guide for tackling ocean pollution at source, which is designed to support others in applying systems change approaches to their own environmental challenges.

Join us in September to be inspired, get practical support to help you start or progress action in your business, organisation or area, and overcome barriers to change.
