An introduction to PowerPaired

Thursday, 14 November at 12:00pm

We know that we need to get to Net Zero emissions by 2050 and there is now widespread recognition of the need to put people at the centre of tackling climate change. There are real signs of hope that this is possible: millions are marching across the world and we’re seeing people-led climate innovations at local, national and international scale.

But how can your business engage with this part of the climate change agenda?

One solution is Forum for the Future's PowerPaired initiative which – with support from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery – is putting renewable energy into community hands.

If your business or organisation owns land or buildings that could host a renewables project, join this webinar for an introduction to the PowerPaired tool - which 'matchmakes' community energy groups with owners of potentially viable land and buildings. We'll share why supporting community-owned energy is something you should be implementing in your Net Zero emissions strategy and how the platform can support you through each stage of the journey. There'll also be the chance to for us to answer any questions you have.

Speakers include:

Lydia Hopton - Ethical Trade Manager, M&S Clothing & Home: Central Sourcing

Rebecca Lawson - PowerPaired lead, Forum for the Future
