Sectors : Energy,
I have done numerous projects with the public sector: two of the latest are 1) developing a framework to investing in a sustainable economy with the Technology Strategy Board and 2) helping Birmingham to develop a green economy. I’ve worked on planning, climate change, the low carbon economy, sustainability assessments and transport to name a few things over the last several years. Many of these - and other projects I’ve managed - focus on energy as a central theme.
I began my working life in the Environment Agency, Leeds and moved to sunnier shores in Melbourne, Australia where I worked as a project officer for ICLEI – Local Government for Sustainability and gained invaluable insight into embedding sustainability into the public sector. An avid Green Futures reader, I tracked down Forum after deciding to return to the UK- keen to work for them - and joined in 2003.
My dream project? I would love to work a major project that sees the implementation of idea(s) in energy that are sparked during the many discussions I’ve been involved in - there’s nothing more rewarding than making something great happen.
