Our work in the UK

Background

When Forum for the Future was founded by Jonathon Porritt, Sara Parkin and Paul Ekins in 1996, our first office was in a basement in Lavington Street, just behind the site of the new Tate Modern.

Within two years Forum’s workforce had more than doubled and so we set up base in a larger office in City Road, which accommodated our growing team and served as base for the newly launched Masters course in Leadership for Sustainable Development.

In 2000, we opened our second London office at the current site of Ironmonger Row, and within a couple of years consolidated our London presence. Forum also continues to run an office in Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.

Ironmonger Row is our registered office, and even though we're actively expanding in the US, India and Singapore, it remains the charity’s headquarters, with the majority of our work still being carried out here. Today, Forum employs around 70 full time equivalent staff in the UK.
