Since 1996 our Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development has been training the sustainability leaders of the future. Many graduates are already making their mark as think-tank directors and government advisers, and in 2012 we look forward to celebrating the graduation of our 200th student.
The programme is validated as a Master of Arts (MA) by Middlesex University and is currently supported by the Leadership Trust and the Tellus Mater Foundation.
At the heart of the 10.5 month programme is the link between learning about the concept and practice of sustainability and applying those ideas in the real world. Students take up work placements in a variety of sectors. They also get the opportunity to undertake two tailor-made modules on leadership development at the highly acclaimed Leadership Trust.
"The Forum Leadership for Sustainable Development Masters is a fantastic example of the sort of course we need to create sustainability-literate leaders of the future."
- Rt Hon David Cameron, MP
As Forum for the Future celebrated the graduation of its 2009-10 Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development cohort, Green Party Leader and MP Caroline Lucas told Anna Simpson why the next five years are essential if we are to move towards a more sustainable way of life, and called for leaders in business and government to show real courage and commitment.
