What is a sustainable school building?  Where in England have they been made a reality and how have head teachers gone about it?  What leadership skills and practical knowledge do school leaders need?  These are some of the questions addressed by Leading sustainable school building projects. 

Forum for the Future along with the Sustainable Development Foundation and Cambridge Architectural Research was commissioned by the National College for School Leadership to conduct research and produce a resource for leaders.  It identifies the knowledge and skills leaders require to deliver sustainable school buildings related to existing procurement systems and processes in the Building Schools for the Future programme.
