Pioneer partnership

Our Pioneer partners are leading organisations at the cutting edge of sustainability. They have the ambition to define the next steps in sustainable business. Our Pioneer group is intentionally small, enabling focused, in-depth and high level engagement.

What does being a pioneer partner involve?

Pioneer partners are selected for their commitment to sustainable development principles and have senior staff who share a willingness to embrace the implications of sustainability at all levels. Pioneer partners also have an eye on the bigger picture and a commitment to transform not just themselves, but also the systems in which they operate.

Pioneer partnership starts at £35,000 + VAT per year (or US$ / € equivalent). Pioneer partners receive all the benefits of Network membership, plus:

Extended tailored work programme

Pioneer partners benefit from a tailored work programme, similar to standard partners. However, there is more advisory time included, enabling the partnership to go into more depth and/or breadth.

Partner support and senior engagement

As with standard partnership, pioneer partners have a dedicated ‘Partner Manager’ and Partnership Director at Forum for the Future. The director engages with the partnership at a strategic level and supports the creation of internal commitment to sustainability, as and when needed.

Furthermore, pioneer partners benefit from a senior engagement programme of mentoring and individual support to senior executives, to develop a deep engagement with sustainability at the highest level, and provide knowledge and insights to drive the agenda forward.

Finally, pioneer partnership includes an exclusive annual dinner for CEOs with Forum founder Jonathon Porritt and our senior directors, and one for Chief Sustainability Officers (CSOs).

Thought Leadership

Pioneer Partners support and participate in cutting-edge initiatives that push forward the sustainable development agenda. This includes discounted membership of the Sustainable Business Models Group and exclusive access to our ‘Systems Innovation Lab'

World-leading Masters programme

Pioneer partners support Forum’s challenging fast-track Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development. In addition to the association with a world-leading Masters, pioneer partners get preferential consideration as a host placement organisation for bright, talented and highly driven scholars.

Even more from Green Futures magazine

  • Pioneer partners receive all the benefits of Network membership, and up to a total of 60 copies of Green Futures magazine.
  • In addition, pioneer partners can take advantage of three designated pages in Green Futures each year, including two “partner viewpoint” pages and a full-page advertisement.
