Partnership with Forum for the Future

We believe that trust-based partnerships are often the best way to help organisations get serious about sustainability. Partnership is available to organisations in the public and private sector with a strong desire to succeed and lead through sustainability.

What’s included in partnership?

Starting at £15,000 + VAT per year (or US$ / € equivalent), partnership consists of a tailored advisory and support programme, combined with all the benefits of Network membership.

Tailored work programme

At the heart of all our partnerships is a tailored work programme that aims to hard-wire sustainability into an organisation. Our partners benefit from dedicated advisory time with our experienced staff. This advice is guided by strategic objectives agreed with you at the start of the partnership year, and can be delivered as a small-scale research/information project, or form part of a larger programme of work or collaborative project. Examples of our advisory work include:

  • Futures and diagnosis: the use of futures techniques to help you develop robust, long-term strategies. We’ve helped companies such as Unilever, PepsiCo and Balfour Beatty identify the risks and opportunities ahead and plan action to future-proof their business.
  • Innovation: we help our partners innovate to develop more sustainable products, services and business models. We worked with ICI Paints AkzoNobel to create Dulux Ecosure, an award-winning paint with half the carbon and water footprint of standard ranges, whilst our pioneering i-team project used cutting-edge innovation techniques to help councils improve public services and take action on climate change.
  • Leadership and scaling up change: we help organisations embed and scale up change. For example, we’ve advised O2’s board on its sustainability programme, built the capacity of its project managers, and run part of its training programme for high flyers. We’ve developed a bespoke programme of sustainability masterclasses for Skanska’s senior managers and key client representatives.

Partner support

We’ll get to know you and your organisation to ensure we provide the best support and advice possible. Your dedicated ‘Partner Manager’ will oversee the relationship, including the development and co-ordination of your work programme. To maximise the partnership’s value and impact we’ll stay in regular contact, updating you on initiatives we’re running, providing a source of advice when you’re faced with particular challenges, and maintaining an ongoing dialogue over developments in the sustainability agenda. Where relevant to you, we’ll also offer you access to exclusive opportunities through our connections and partnerships with other networks.

In addition, our Partners have a direct line to a senior-level ‘Partnership Director’ at Forum to provide further support to the partnership. The director engages with the partnership at a strategic level and supports the creation of internal commitment to sustainability, as and when needed.

Exclusive opportunities to be involved in system innovation projects and programmes

Partners, like members, can expand their involvement in the Network:

  • Join pioneering collaborative projects, tackling the big challenges that you can’t solve alone, and enabling your organisation to move forward in its sustainability journey.
  • Explore the cutting edge of practice in sustainable business, by joining our Sustainable Business Models group.

More from Green Futures magazine

Partners receive all the benefits of Network membership, and up to a total of 30 copies of Green Futures magazine (compared to 20 for members).
