Members

The Forum Network is all about leadership for sustainability. We recognise that it's a journey, and we want to help you to get there. The more you engage with the Network, the more you will benefit. Our members are organisations that are:

  • keen to learn about good practice and to share their learning with others;
  • engaged in core business that is capable of being pursued on a truly sustainable basis;
  • unlikely to behave in such a way as to jeopardise the reputation of Forum for the Future, or diminish the effectiveness of its core activities.

Partners

We work in partnership with organisations that are committed to actively engaging with Forum and the Network, and demonstrate a consistent commitment to improvements in environmental and social performance. Our Partners are organisations that:

  • have agreed to work with Forum for the Future on a genuine partnership basis, with active approval and continued commitment at the organisations' senior management level.
  • over time, can publicly demonstrate a consistent commitment to the continuous improvement of their environmental and social performance, including elements of sectoral leadership.

Pioneer Partners

Pioneer partnership is a significant commitment over at least three years. Our Pioneers have senior staff who share a willingness to engage with Forum and our Network, and embrace the implications of sustainability.

 In summary, Pioneers:

  • demonstrate clear sector leadership or provide evidence of sector leadership aspirations
  • allocate a partnership manager and board-level partnership patron, with regular check-ins
  • ensure work programmes move the organisation forward at pace and with stretching targets for change
  • ensure an annual board session takes place
  • engage at the level of business strategy and sustainable development strategy
  • have optional involvement in the Sustainable Business Models group

Pioneer partnership is offered on the basis of a one-year probationary period. We want to be sure, and for you to be sure, that this is the right group for you.
