US companies required to disclose climate risks

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has issued guidance that requires corporate disclosure of "Material Climate Change Risks and Opportunities", whether from new emissions management policies, the physical impacts of changing weather or business opportunities associated with the growing clean energy economy.

This does raise hopes that investor interest/pressure might start to drive corporate action on climate change.
