Luxury Voluntourism

In Tourism 2023's Carbon Clampdown scenario we see people volunteering in order to be able to take longer holidays. Six Senses are already giving people that opportunity - they have just started offering 5 days free in return for 5 days volunteering with the local community at two of its luxury resorts in the Maldives. Projects include marine conservation, youth education and boosting local island income.
